5: How to create a miracle

Creativity is a fundamental part of being human.  To many philosophers, this is one of the most important reasons for being here on planet earth:   to create!   Some will argue that we are always creating every minute of every day.... and I agree.  However, there is a big difference between creating unconsciously and creating consciously.

At the unconscious (un-awakened) level of creating we are unknowingly using our creative powers to re-enforce a reality and life-style that is less than satisfying and has few rewards.   It can be said with great certainty that the majority of folks everywhere are creating unconsciously through the filters of unawareness and unrecognised self-defeating thinking and behaviour.

In other words, most people spend the vast amount of their creative energy repeating patterns of thought, behaviour and actions ... even though the outside form may look different in each situation.  An example of unconscious creation is the person who repeatedly gets involved with abusive or rude people and it doesn't seem to improve much.  Such a person ... through their inability to recognize their patterns and through their inability to change their thinking and habits ... continually "creates" and unknowingly attracts the reality that their unconscious mind is most familiar with.

Simply put, the above example reinstates:  if you don't respect yourself, you will attract those that don't respect you.  Or you will be afraid to stand up for yourself and ask for respect.  Or you will be afraid to simply walk away if respect isn't coming.

The awakened person has come to recognize that what they believe about themselves has drawn in the matching experience.  The truly awakened person then puts forth the effort to change their thinking and behaviour, which automatically begins to change their life experiences.  Little by little ... or sometimes in great leaps and bounds ... the person who once attracted abuse or disrespect is now attracting a different reality and creating a different way of dealing with these situations:  either by taking a stand for oneself in a more self-respecting way ... or by finally being able to walk away and end the unhealthy interactions quicker than before.

Okay ... nothing new in the above, you might say ... and I agree with you.  However, lets take it further....

What about creative expression?  It has been said that once we awaken from this "sleep" ... unconsciousness ... that we can now step off the "wheel of karma" - (unconscious and habitual patterns) and no longer be controlled by the influence of past lives nor by the events that happened earlier in this current life.   By moving into a more awakened state of awareness and living life more fully, we begin to consciously and willingly direct our thinking and behaviour into purposeful manifestation: creating and attracting more of that which we prefer and is more natural to who we REALLY are.

If we were born to be writers, artists, singers, actors, architects, dancers, entertainers, liberators, healers, teachers, athletes, musicians, gardeners, and so on ... but were instead encouraged, pressured, coerced, manipulated, threatened or intimidated into becoming something else to satisfy or gain the approval of .parent, teacher, boss, lover, spouse ... or anyone else we've been fooled into believing has power over us ... we've fallen into the world of the unconscious and the un-awakened state because we are no longer following our natural inclinations.

As small children, most of us are still unbound by the prison of family expectations, social acceptance, and peer pressure ... and we freely express those natural inclinations in our play.  It isn't until we are taught out of our natural inclinations that we fall from grace, so to speak.

Take time to remember what you did easily and freely as a child ... things that you loved to do and did it effortlessly.  If you are not currently expressing - in some manner - an evolved and developed form of those natural inclinations ... then know that this is where you're missing something important in your life.

Here follows a slogan that many of you will recognize, although, it is little understood as to what it really means.  Jesus stated (paraphrased):   "Seek ye the kingdom of heaven first, then all else will be added unto you".  NOW ... what did he mean by this?

In honouring what I really wanted to do with my creative abilities, I discovered that Spirit, God and my natural creativity are all wrapped up in the same "package" so to speak.  Ask any one who has been inspired to paint, draw, sing, write or perform something extraordinary that touched their lives deeply as well as the lives of others.  They will often tell you that it was like becoming one with God or becoming one with an amazingly beautiful power that worked through them effortlessly.  Its like being touched by the divine and enjoying every minute of it.  I've experienced this so many times that I just have to continue expressing my creativity through my natural inclinations.  I love the connection with a Higher Power that it brings: an extraordinary and beautiful flow that feels like my true "home" - sometimes subtle and sometimes awesome - that exists far beyond myself and is deeper than any ocean.

Many of you have read The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron.  It was a runaway best seller and has persisted as a top selling book for a number of years.  It was popular because readers could deeply relate to her viewpoint on why most people squash their creativity ... and then what they can do free themselves to achieve greater self-expression

Excerpts from The Artist's Way  by Julia Cameron

It is my experience both as an artist and as a teacher that when we move out on faith into the act of creation, the universe is able to advance. It is a little like opening the gate at the top of a field irrigation system. Once we remove the blocks, the flow moves in.

Again, I do not ask you to believe this. In order for this creative emergence to happen, you don't have to believe in God. I simply ask you to observe and note this process as it unfolds. In effect, you will be midwiving and witnessing your own creative progression.

Creativity is an experience -- to my eye, a spiritual experience. It does not matter which way you think of it: creativity leading into spirituality or spirituality leading to creativity. In fact, I do not make a distinction between the two. In the face of such experience, the whole question of belief is rendered obsolete. As Carl Jung answered the question of belief late in his life, "I don't believe; I know."

The following spiritual principles are the bedrock on which creative recovery and discovery can be built. Read them through once a day, and keep an inner ear cocked for any shifts in attitudes or beliefs.

Basic Principles:

Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy: pure creative energy.

There is an underlying, in-dwelling creative force infusing all of life - including ourselves.

When we open ourselves to our creativity, we open ourselves to the creator's creativity within us and our lives.

We are, ourselves, creations. And we, in turn, are meant to continue creativity by being creative ourselves.

Creativity is God's gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God.

The refusal to be creative is self-will and is counter to our true nature.

When we open ourselves to exploring our creativity, we open ourselves to God: good orderly direction.

As we open our creative channel to the creator, many gentle but powerful changes are to be expected.

It is safe to open ourselves up to greater and greater creativity.

Our creative dreams and yearnings come from a divine source. As we move toward our dreams, we move

 toward our divinity.

Manifesting through Creative Visualisation in Meditation

"What is manifestation?

In The Laws of Manifestation, David Spangler states this principle well:

Manifestation is a process of working with natural principles and laws in order to translate energy from one level of reality to another.

Manifestation is a change of form or state of condition or being; it is not the creation of something out of nothing. The dictionary defines it as 'making clear to sight or mind, making visible.

The implication here is that the thing manifested was already there but it was not clear, not visible. It was in a different state of being.

For manifestation to work, we must recognise that that which we wish to manifest does already exist, even if it is invisible or separate from our immediate environment. What we need to do, therefore, is to open a route or start a process through which it can enter our environment and be 'clear and visible' to us."

Manifesting Technique

Establish Unity Consciousness. Enter deep meditative state - alpha brainwave state - 10 cycles per second instead of the normal 35... Feel deep connection to and appreciation for the abundance in this Universe. Remember Yogananda said 'Desire is actually destiny knocking on our door!'

1. Visualise your wish with you in it.

2. Place the earth behind it (and you).

3. Bring a golden grid over the picture, diagonal or spiral, running from sky to earth.

4. Draw the Cho-Ku-Rei over the whole picture.

5. Hold the image for as long as you can, then let go.

6. Be careful what you ask for. You might get it!

CHO KU REI REIKI POWER SYMBOL

In his book The Twelve Conditions of a Miracle , Dr. Michael Abrams retranslated portions of the Bible and in working with the original ancient Greek, he discovered layers of information that had not been revealed in contemporary translations. He believes that the author of the original composition embedded a subtext within the subtleties of the Greek language that tell us the techniques for manifesting miracles.

A map for creating miracles really exists, according to Dr. Abrams, and it can be found in the Gospel according to St. Matt hew.

The Twelve Conditions for a Miracle

1. The first condition is Emptiness . It involves establishing a condition of stillness, a vacuum. Nature rushes to fill a void.

A vacuum is a very special situation. Because it is empty, it possesses the tremendous potential to be filled. Like a magnet, a vacuum exerts a force that pulls things inexorably toward it. The less a vacuum contains - the emptier it is - the more powerful the attractive force it exerts on the surrounding world.

2. The second condition is Alignment . This means getting your own life and intent to move in the same direction as the universe. This means swimming with the current to its final destination.

Evaluate your dream in terms of whether it will harm you or hinder your progress to a state of compassion. Adjust your course - shift your goal so that you are in alignment with the flow of the universe.

3. The third condition involves Asking . If you know what you really want, and how to ask for it, the universe will fulfill your request with startling accuracy.Never attempt to ask for anything that is not organically connected to such a higher purpose.

4. The fourth condition involves Maximizing . Expansion of food, that fed the multitude, is an expansion of what already exists, not materialization from nothing.

The universe is very careful. It hates waste. Those who use its precious energy with appropriate gratitude and care are invariably rewarded. Conversely, if you don't use your gifts, you can expect to lose them.

5. The fifth condition involves Giving . The act of giving relieves congestion and stimulates the flow and increase of resources.

6. The sixth condition involves Grounding , at a physical and metaphysical level. As in electrical power, if a circuit is not grounded, currents cannot flow through it.

The power of the current that flows through you will be directly proportional to the strength of your conviction.

7. The seventh condition involves Seeing or visualizing. Unless the desired end is clearly seen, it cannot be reached.

Even as "the worst" transpires in livid detail before our very eyes, it is an important part of our whole purpose as human beings to learn how to see "the best." That is one of our greatest and most important tasks as humans.

8. The eighth condition is Gratitude . When a human being is in a state of true gratitude, the fabric of time and space is favorably altered.

Divine intelligence generally won't go too far out of its way to provide for you in a miraculous way if you are negative and complacent about the gifts you have already received.

9. The ninth condition involves Acting As If . A person enacting a miracle acts as if the miracle has already occurred. Jesus didn't wait for the bread and fish to multiply - he began to feed the people with what he had.

Spirit helps those who help themselves. The universe funnels its energy into the lives of those who act, those who work, those who make an effort to actually get things accomplished.

10. The tenth condition involves Engaging the Cycle . Energy flows in a cycle or circuit throughout the universe, from the microscopic to the astronomical plane. Only when a person works with a circularity of flow can miracles occur. What goes around comes around.

Every enlightened person in history has tried to tell us that we receive as we give. It will always be true: What goes around comes around.

11. The eleventh condition is Receiving . Often we believe that receiving or accepting what the universe gives may be the easiest part, but often it is the most undeveloped aspect of our evolution. It is about being totally open to what is going to happen. Being ready and willing to accept the flow that comes towards us and enjoying it and being totally conscious of it when it comes.

Remember, Spirit abhors a vacuum. As soon as you prepare an empty container to receive, the universe will automatically begin mobilizing to fill it.

12. The twelfth condition is Recycling . When all of the people had eaten and were finished, the fragments were not left on the ground, but were gathered and recycled. All throughout our ecological and biological system, nature maximizes by recycling everything it possibly can.

What happens after the manifestation has crystallized is just as important as what happens before. The flow of energy must never be abandoned once the dream becomes reality.

These conditions form a kind of engine with twelve cylinders. When all twelve cylinders fire together, the power they generate is beyond comprehension. It is a power that can change your life so drastically that you cannot - in your current state of evolution - imagine the universe that will open for you. You will see that you have the power to manifest heaven in your life here and now.
