To illustrate what I mean there is a story I'd like to share with you that I heard from Tom Kenyon.

This story is from the days of Hator in Egypt about an initiate who goes to the masters and says he wants to initiate to the love and ecstasy levels and they send him away to the underworld saying he is not ready...

Nevertheless this person is very crafty and he keeps coming back in different disguises but the priests and priestesses recognise him and each time they turn him away directing him to the underworld. Yet he refused to enter and learn the very lessons, which would have eventually earned him his heart's desire.

The point of this tale is that you cannot bypass your own underworld.

You must go down into the catacombs of your own unconsciousness before seeking the higher spiritual mysteries. You see the higher you go in consciousness the deeper you must delve to remain in balance. If you go too high in consciousness without balancing your hidden depths, including your own unconsciousness, then you are unbalanced and potentially dangerous.

Why? Because then you are acting without true awareness of the crucial parts of yourself that are in your own underworld - those aspects that are not evolved, such as anger, hatred, fear, lust, jealousy, your fantasies even your death wishes... These things that you try to keep out of awareness are part of your human nature and your task as a human being is to integrate and to heal all levels of your experience in this dimension.

One of those levels of this experience, which must be healed has to do with what we call darkness, and what I prefer to call unawareness. The darkness is unawareness. The task of evolution as I see it is to expand awareness so that it is all encompassing and becomes incorporated into all of your being. The processes, the circumstances and the events that are occurring here on this planet at this time are of such an intense nature that they are activators for those feelings and beliefs that live in our underworld.

The fulcrum point of experience, the intensity of the moment by moment experiences of life are the initiatory portals allowing us to move into an awareness and understanding of the depths of ourselves.

Never doubt your nature is profoundly capable of this task for your consciousness includes the light, the celestial realms of your own being, as well as the dark demonic worlds of your own being.

To hold these two polarities in compassion, consciousness and love is to balance them and to heal the darkness through the power and light of awareness.

This is the task of evolution as it has been shown to be and as I see it. Our earth is evolving arising into a higher level of awareness, vibration and consciousness and so are we. Our choice is do we balance and integrate this on all levels or do we risk the danger of imbalance unrecognised which puts us back at the bottom of the ladder again?

True spiritual awakening is a real adventure, complete with intrigue, villains, risks and dangers. And the unity and wholeness gained from integrated ascension offers us rewards beyond comprehension.

An old Cherokee elder was talking with his grandson about two energies fighting within him - a bad spirit and a good spirit. Wide-eyed the grandson asked who would win. The reply was - 'Whichever one I feed.' By applying great self-discipline and diligence to all the methods of spiritual unfoldment defined in these teachings and as shared in the MS REM workshops, we can all learn to starve the victim, the judge, the parasite that fear is. We can refocus to consciously feed only the hero - our embryo-God-Goddess self that is waiting to be reborn.

I am calling out to and looking for those intrepid souls that choose this adventure over all else. How powerful and yet at the same time so subtle are these powers in keeping us asleep?

Given:

We already have everything we need within us to ascend. But does anyone know how to access this? Do you know that parallel to the seven levels of initiation, there are seven alchemical levels of purification? Are you aware of how it feels to have seven awakened chakras or how to awaken them?

After my near death experience, divinely blessed, filled with grace, I was guided to some of the highest teachings and teachers on this planet. This expedited or fast tracked my own awakening process. In that near death experience, I identified my mission in life as being a way shower and transformer for others. However, divine intervention alone was insufficient to change me. I had to do the work to change myself - God helps those who help themselves. At the time I did not fully appreciate who these teachers were and I could not value fully what they had shared with me. It's taken a couple of decades of experiences, awake and unawake, to help me to piece all this together. It's now becoming a kind of map of awakening.

When I had reached a certain level of advancement, dare I say stability - the big picture about spirituality, ascension, wholeness and unity began to take form. I believe that my studying all the paths, traditional and less traditional, was a necessary preliminary. Now, in retrospect, I clearly see that what I had previously considered to be my own 'haphazard'path of awakening, perfectly fits into the seven levels of initiation and the seven levels of alchemical purification.

I have come to understand that the most significant part of the purification process is identifying the 'shadow'and transcending it. The shadow consists of parts of our selves of which we ought to be conscious, but which are denied, suppressed or ignored by the conscious awareness. The shadow includes memories of when we have been traumatised or when we hurt others. It's not pleasant to remember these things, but it is absolutely necessary if we choose to ascend.

Another area where shadow patterns are revealed is in the four energy-stealing control patterns. These are 1) the 'poor me'- the victim, 2) the aloof, 3) the interrogator, and 4) the intimidator. These control patterns have become habitual, automatic and deeply entrenched rigid core false beliefs. They sabotage and continue to disempower us, thwarting any attempt to create, manifest and live our divine abundance.

In order to find truth, error must be recognised and broken down. Since much of our personality is based upon error, this breakdown can be extreme. However, mental and emotional breakdown, if handled correctly, can lead to breakthrough. Depression and any form of pain - physical, mental or emotional - is a sign that somewhere in the invisible bodies we are still out of harmony with the path of the soul. When we are out of harmony, we force our will into life situations rather than surrendering to the divine flow, the Tao.

We are creative beings. Everything we imagine is like a powerful manifesting prayer. However, much of what we visualise is so negative. We spend so much of our precious emotional energy focusing upon just what we don't want. And great creative beings that we all are, we get more of that which we visualise and into which we pour our emotional energy. The big choice is this: fear or love. All emotions partake of one or the other. When asked what the most important question is, Einstein answered, 'Is the world a friendly place?'If we decide it isn't, we make walls, create divisions, arm ourselves for conflict, and experience fear and suffering. It's all in our choice.

Do you choose love? If so, are you willing to do the work to eliminate fear? As long as unresolved memories of pain and suffering remain within your personal subconscious, you will continue to create and evoke manifestations of your fears. Despite your best spiritual intentions, until you have done your shadow homework, you will be incapable of doing anything else. Do you begin to see how important it is to do your 'step four' psychological recapitulation work?

You remember that in step four, you are directed to write down the experiences of your life in which others have harmed you and the experiences in which you have caused harm to others. Then you are directed to read your story to another person. This courageous honesty brings the inner problems to light and begins the healing process of the old wounds. AND it is not comfortable!

This is apparently the main challenge contained within PSA 3 that has caused some of my students to fall and lose their way, to balk and resist continuing. I have heard all the excuses in the world as to why people cannot commit to (and beyond) this level. To same embarrassment, I won't list them now. There is no judgement here - just profound compassion for those who stumble and get stuck. I understand the real reason for avoiding the shadow is about fear. I say this with discrimination and compassion. There is no judgement here. Believe me, I had to experience fear in order to understand fear. I had to experience my own stumbling, falling, making mistakes and learning from them in order to grow and getting stuck in order to be able to recognise denial and resistance. That I now dare to alert others to their own denials and resistance is motivated by love and my own true inner wisdom.

Seers and spiritual leaders throughout the world today in their intuitions and visions believe there may not be much more time before the coming 'dividing of the ways'. Those who hear the clarion call now will be able to complete their enlightenment process more swiftly than ever before in human history. It is said that the earth is about to ascend from the physical to higher dimensions. Those who do their work well now will ascend in harmony with it. Those who do not may have to reincarnate on a different plane to struggle with their issues and perhaps won't have this unique kind of opportunity to 'graduate' for thousands of years. That's another reason for my earnest persistence with all of you now.

I believe those who know me well understand how hard I have worked. I have faced a great deal of fear. I have had to let go of people, places and things I have loved with nothing to replace these at the time. I have learned to demonstrate mastery by being willing to openly admit my mistakes, errors and make them part of my teaching. This is an example of how we can all develop gifts out of our challenges. Although the aim of true spiritual awakening is to become a servant leader, what I see is so many people moving into leadership positions before they serve.

Until we clear out the fear and memories of pain associated with our own tragedies, we cannot accurately see our real part in the big picture. We are all here on a mission, not just a vocation. Finding and living that mission is the greatest adventure of all. When we have cleared our shadow issues, we can then more clearly see our part in the grand puzzle of life. We can then better visualise and manifest in harmony with our mission. We are going to create with great success anyway. It's so important to know what is really worth wishing for - what we then bring into being.

The question is: Are we going to create more Hell? Or are we going to visit our own personal Hell and clean it up? Performing the shadow work is like a journey to Hell. Only when you confront your own darkness and resolve the issues you find there can you proceed on your spiritual path. There is no way around this. Then and only then will we be able to live your mission and create Heaven on earth.

Just as I see regular people in the street going to the doctors for a pill to fix their malady, astonishingly I see light-workers giving their power away to all kinds of external remedies, healers of every kind, objects and processes, such as magnets, gongs, chanting, lasers, homeopathic remedies, radionics machines, purple plates, special medallions, talismans, special fasting diets, crystals, visiting psychics, adoring gurus, and ANYTHING except being willing to go into the dark cave of the soul to discover and heal the original wound. I do understand why and I sympathise. They have forgotten how powerful they truly are! In no way am I knocking these choices, for when approached with balance, they can be beneficial. However, I see so many people giving their power away to some secret formula, for instance, one that is purported to be the elixir of life! Have they forgotten the power of the violet ray of transmutation and the law of invocation? It's cheaper than these elixirs by far. The problem (challenge) is that it requires more discipline and faith.

I understand that the masks we assume in order to deny the wound have afforded us some protection. In our childhood, they did provide for our emotional and sometimes our physical survival. Yet at PSA 3 level, we are guided to discover that this so-called protection no longer serves us now, but rather limits and disempowers us.

Nobody integrates true ascension energies without making right all of the errors to themselves and to others. It's about balancing our books of karma and taking responsibility - accountability for all of our actions in this lifetime. Remember total karmic absolution is possible now, yet we have to do the work!

The twelve-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous is based upon Christ's Sermon on the Mount in which he urged us to wake up, make our amends and live a life of purity on all levels. He even said, 'Be hot or be cold. But if thou art lukewarm, I shall spit thee out of my mouth.'

As well as all the new-age complementary medicine and healing modalities, I see so many people doing all kinds of light work, such as holographic reprogramming, light coning, light body work, etc. How do they propose to fill up with light when they are still full of shadow aspects, denied, repressed, suppressed and ignored? How can they powerfully transmit light to somebody else, or create more light on the planet when they refuse to eliminate the dross and purify themselves at a grass roots level?

If your reaction to this hard line from me is 'Oh, here we go again - all this El Morya tough love stuff. I've gone as far as I want to go. This job or this relationship is more important - than more soul searching.'Well, know this: Whatever we put before God will be taken away. We will lose it. I know this because it happened to me. I know this because it happened to many of my teachers. I know this because it's happening to many of my students. We all know this because it happened to our ancestors (the ancient ones, The Essenes, etc.) who left us the map for alchemical transformation.

You can't starve your way to ascension. Neither can you pray nor meditate your way to ascension. In 'The Only Planet of Choice' by Dr. Phyllis Schlemmer, we are told by the Council of Nine quite clearly that prayer and meditation are not enough. Now is a time for action. PSALM teachings are about that plan of action and purifies all levels of existence.
